IS AIM LICENSED TO OPERATE COMMERCIALLY?

Yes. All AIM pilots have permissions for aerial work granted by the Civil Aviation Authority.

IS AIM FULLY INSURED?

Yes. We have fully comprehensive insurance.

CAN AIM FLY IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS?

We are unable to operate in the rain and, with safety our number one priority, we won’t fly in excessively windy conditions, particularly if near to trees or other objects.

CAN AIM FLY INDOORS?

Yes, although as you’d expect it would need to be a large room. There aren’t any regulations imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority when flying indoors, however certain other factors must be considered. Please contact us for more information.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE REQUIRED TO OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT?

Two. A pilot and a camera operator that can capture the shots.

HOW LONG CAN YOU FLY FOR?

Our UAVs can operate for approximately 10 to 12 minutes on a single charge.

DO AIM OPERATE IN THE UK ONLY?

No. We travel regularly and will consider any location for a shoot.

WHAT IS THE HEIGHT, RANGE & SPEED OF THE UAV?

Under the rules and regulations imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority, we are permitted to fly up to 400ft high and at a range of 500m, providing there is a clear visual line of sight (VLOS) between the pilot and the UAV. Speeds of approximately 30mph can be achieved.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED?

We pride ourselves in supplying the best quality work at the most affordable prices! As there isn’t a ‘one glove fits all’ model, we first like to understand more about you and your project before providing an estimate. Certain factors like location, risk and the amount of post-production required will affect the final price but are on hand to talk through all of this with you.

DO AIM OFFER EQUIPMENT HIRE?

Unfortunately not. When you work with us, you get a fully certified pilot as well. We are unable to allow our UAV’s to be piloted by a third party.
